The Bauer Supreme 2S Pro Shin Guard has incredible pro-level protection from top to bottom for the intermediate to advanced hockey player. Bauer utilizes two highly protective materials in key impact areas. The first, Poron XRD, is located inside the knee doughnut and is an incredibly soft, yet highly absorbent foam that provides some of the best protection to high energy impacts. The second being Curv Composite, the same material Bauer uses in their skates. Curv Composite does an unreal job of protecting the player against slashes and blocked shots while reducing weight, so Bauer placed this high-performance material in the calf protection. The inner calf protection has low-density foam that is reinforced with injected plastic inserts to complete the anatomical coverage.

Bauer is introducing their new AMP (Active Motion Protection) this year and the 2S Pro features a 3-piece construction to give players a maximum range of motion in every skating scenario. Two hinges are located on the shin shell and one at the knee for deeper strides and sharper turns. A 1" Ventaprene knee anchor strap and 2" elastic Velcro calf strap keeps protection snug and locked down all game long.

The adjustable thigh guard allows players to raise or lower the high-density foam protection in order to achieve the optimal fit and coverage. Surrounding the knee cap is Vent Armor Foam which is lightweight and breathable protection. Speaking of breathable protection, the shell is lined with a vented, medium-density foam to increase impact absorption and airflow around the leg. The Thermo Core comfort liner is soft, comfortable, and anatomically wraps around the leg for a contouring responsive fit. It does an amazing job of managing sweat, moisture, and odor-causing bacteria. On the bottom of the removable comfort liner is a skate abrasion zone to reduce wear and tear when wearing the shin guards overtop of the skate tongue.
